1st things 1st, in answer to those folks who have asked for pc's your snail addy stays with me I'm not a corporation here. You just become part of my own personal postcard project (you might even get a repeat if I have some extra stamps laying around).
I started this because I d r a w a l o t! I need an outlet and I like to think of these things going all over the world. The idea came from someone I trade ATCs with who mentioned Postcardx. People post their snail addys and other people send them cards without any obligation. I started sending those and also to my ATC buddies. And then I just opened it up to anyone who wanted one. There's no obligation here either - well maybe a little hint to send one to someone else. Spread the drawings around a little bit you know.
Another inspiration was Lenore Tawney, a sculptor and weaver who worked in the BIG scale but also sent collaged postcards to friends. It was amazing what that woman got through the post office. I do collage too but drawing is much quicker and less messy.
I use mostly prismacolor art markers (the absolute best I've tried them all), pitt artist pens, tombo brush pens and extra fine point sharpies. Also watercolor crayons (no water) - they have a smoother look then regular crayons. I was using Nexus pens to draw but the last few all leaked (very depressing) so I think I'm about to move on to the Radiograph which I just bought but haven't tried yet and I also use pigma micron pens.
Well now, it's 6:41am and I've got to feed the cats and get to work. See ya,
