Blue, Green and Pink

A friend asked me why do I always draw small breasts.  I think we all draw ourselves in some fashion or at least the selves we want to be.  I wish I had red hair (not blue) and long legs but hey I don't.  I'm petite in other words short.  5' 2 1/2", 105lbs, short spikey fastly graying brown hair (self portrait Thursday).  And I have small breasts.  So I draw women with long legs and red hair (sometimes blue) and small breasts.  Nothing too jungian there I guess.

I like Babelfish.  Anyway, this didn't work out.  The little girl looks like a little woman and I don't think there's much of a connection and her hand is rather lumpy.  I like posting the ones I don't like - makes me step back and look at them at a distance.  Maybe I'll try it again tomorrow.  Here's the original.

Jumping Jack

Jumping rhyming Jack.  More of these to come.  I think they'd make nice little framed pictures for a children's room but with different rhyms and without "prozac".  Jack is 5"x7" markers on cardstock and the original is for sale for $35.00.

It's amazing really, artistic breakthroughs and what causing them.  I said I had never drawn cats before Leo became sick and really it's true.  And now I can't imagine why I never did. And now every time I draw one, I think of Leo and this gift he gave and I smile.  He was one special friend.
