#1 I bought a board all ready for painting. I knew that it was going to cost but at least I don't have to frame it. And Liquitex acrylics has 3 different flesh tones which is a good sign right?. But do you know how much a good brush costs? Gees - 50% off on sale Windsor Newton brushes. One 1 1/2" flat brush? $18. I mean 50% off? Who buys $36 brush? One brush? No wonder there are starving artists. After buying a few brushes I'm going to paint even if I hate it. And I'm never buying another brush. Those things better last a lifetime. $36 brush - gees.
#2 I have a cable connection to the Internet. I leave the computer all the time. I came home to find it off. I turned it on. It turned itself off. I turned it on again and it turned itself off again. I tore apart my bookself looking for the warranty. Couldn't find it, called Gateway "Please tell me my computer is still under warranty, please". Yes it is for 66 more days. The tech had me unplug the pc, plug it in again and immediately turn it on and off 10 times. It worked. Who knew. Voodoo maybe. Do you think she went to school to learn how to do that? What do you think is going to happen on the day 67?
#3 Sorry I said 2 but there's actually 3. My Norton expired so I went on line and renewed the System Works but bought their new 2007 Internet Security which includes a Firewall. Went to download it and it says that Live Update is running and try again later. That Live Update has now been running for an 1hr. It took over an 1hr to find their customer service contact info. Their live chat made my PC crash again. I just requested a refund. They send you a letter and then you agree and accept it. Guess what they call the refund request - Letter of Destruction.
What a day I've had. I'm looking forward to work on Monday.
$36 is a lot, but good brushes last a long time, if you take care of them, i.e. wash them after use and store them upright. How much do your markers cost and how long do they last? I don't use them, so I don't know. Just take a deep breath and have at it! You might find you're a painter after all ;D.

Oh I'm going to paint alright. I have to use those golden brushes. It's my pc that's driving me nuts and Norton.

That's an interesting solution to a faulty cable connection. LOL!! Crossing fingers that there are no PC gremlins after 66 days.

As much as I like your drawings, I love reading your stories! Monday is usually the worst for me cuz I go to bed so late during the weekends.Still trying to act like a crazy teenager staying up late (not partying though) but my body is giving me warning signs. Oh it's all my own fault.

I'm having good thoughts only about my pc. It will not crash it will not crash that is my mantra.
Thanks Debra - I always think that nobody reads the posts, they just go for the drawings. So it's nice to know you like 'em.

Well....I have to admit when I first discovered your blog I came here for the pictures. However, after a while I started reading the text part and it adds an interesting touch to the pictures. It's fun reading all the stories behind the drawings and about the artist herself. It's like the the first time I saw "blue nude" I liked it but it didn't entice me to read Matisse's biography. After seeing like 30 works by him I went to look for books about him(too bad he can't write blog). It's all about attachment I guess.
