It's not my hard drive which I told the guy at Gateway but no, your hard drive could be turning the computer on and off.  So I waited and 5 days later received a new hard which I put in last night (I'm at work now) and guess what?  It's not the hard drive, it's the battery supply.  So I took the hard drive out and put mine back in and called Gateway.  It's still under warranty so I get the pleasure of paying for shipping and returning it for a new battery supply.  They're sending me a box and I have to arrange for pickup from DHL which doesn't have a store in my area.  Once Gateway receives it, it will be 10-14 days before I get it back. 

I'm getting an old computer from a friend tonight.  Even if I can't get my cable modem to work with it at least I can load it with my scanning software and scan all the drawings, email them to myself at work and post from here.

Withdrawal isn't the right word for this.

Withdrawal

I'm really going through withdrawal here - no PC at home for 2 days.  And I can't exactly surf the net continually at work.  A friend said I could always use hers but she's dial-up.  I can't use dial-up.  I want my cable connection!!!!!  Ok calm down, I can survive this.  Maybe I'll do a laundry when I get home.   

Requiem

My computer died at 5:30am this morning.  I went on line to post a few morning drawings and bye bye.  Not the Blue Screen of Death but the High Whine of Misery.  I was on the phone with Gateway at 5:31am.  It's still under warranty - another 30 days so they're sending me another hard drive which I should have in 2 days.  So no posting of drawings for awhile.  I can take it, it's only 2 days.  It's still under warranty, what a blessed thing that is.

Pink Puppy Pi

Pi - infinitely cute.  He's real name is Diego but I like Pi.  It appears I'm still into pink.

The Knitting Shoppe

There appears to be a renaissance of knitting going on.  I used to knit when lived in a NY.  There were such lovely wools.  But I moved to Fl and it's a bit hot for wool and I didn't like knitting with cotton so I stopped knitting.  I thought I'd take it up again.  I've been knitting straight for the last few hours and here's the result.  Hats by Janey.  Maybe I'll open a knitting shop.

I have a shop, yes I do, a shop, a shop!  It's janeysjourney.etsy.com.  First things there are magnets, lots of magnets.  Postcards next and then originals.  The magnets are nice, really nice.  The drawings really look good small like that.  You should buy one.  If you want to that is, if you need one more magnet for your refrigerator.  I mean no pressure here.  Wait a minute, yes there's pressure lots of pressure.  Go buy one.  Please. 

Chairy

I saw these wooden chairs in a craft magazine.  I don't know if they were miniature or not.  Not too sure that they would fit in my livingroom.  And I have today off and being a list person, here's my list for the weekend, so far.

1.Water the plants
2.Michaels (I do have 2 - 50% off coupons.  Magnets here I come)
3. Lunch with Mom
4. Publix with Mom
5. Levengers (discount Levengers - chair shopping)
6. Barnes & Noble triple chunk chocolate cookie - exempt from my chocoloate free diet
7. Vacumn and wash the floors - small bedroom, livingroom, kitchen, bathrooms.
8.  Patio and big bedroom tomorrow.
9. Set up and Esty store
10. Draw
11. Bike ride
12. Saturday with DBD, her brother and sister-in-law maybe go to Flaglers or Vizcaya

That Last Slice...

Yep, it's always that last slice of pepperoni that keeps a kitty up at night or maybe it was Frankenstein Meets the Werewolf.  Now that one always kept me from sleeping.

This has nothing to do with the drawing but I do get the oddest emails.  I don't think I ever wrote about this but if I did here it is again.  Last year someone emailed me saying that they were referred by another on line artist.  She said she liked my drawings and that she was doing a book.  And the name of the book was "Lesbian's Dreams of Weird Penises".  Really, I couldn't make that up.  She said  she couldn't be the only person with those dreams and wanted artists to draw their dreams. 

Well after I picked myself up from the floor and could breath again, I replied.  I said that I reluctantly had to decline her kind offer.  First I wasn't a lesbian and to quote Jerry S. there's nothing wrong with that.  2nd I didn't dream of penises, weird or otherwise.  But like most women I did dream of what they did.  And now of course I would dream of nothing else.  If she decided in the future to rethink the title and make it more inclusive, I would certainly reconsider.  I thanked her for liking my work and said I thought the book would probably be a hit.  I haven't seen it in the bookstores yet, but you never know.  I might have missed a great opportunity there.  You know one of those forks in the road not taken kind of thing.

My Dog Jack

Not really, I don't have a dog but if I did I'd call him Jack.  Nice, strong name Jack.  Like My Cat Gert.  When I call her come here sweetie, come here Gertie girl.  Not a twitch, not muscle moves, not a blink of an eye.  I say GERT! Up she jumps and comes running right over.  Of course it helps that that's how I call her when I feed her.  And I'm into pink at the moment.

And I woke up this morning and my eye woke up too.  It's still red but it's open.
