Not much

Not drawing much tonight.  Some nasty little no see 'em bit me, right on my eyelid.  Went to the eye doctor so now I'm putting anitbiotic cream on my eyelid.  It's sort of swollen so the eye is half closed.  Doesn't hurt but I look really funny - a constant squint in one eye.  The Dr said it should be ok in a few days.  Great, I have tomorrow off.  A nice long weekend with one eye half shut.  I wonder how tomorrow's drawings will look?

Morning Quickies

I did these this morning.  I always get the date wrong.  It's not easy to remember those kind of details at 5am.

   

 

Righty

  I'm a lefty, I drew this with my right hand.  And have you ever looked at popcorn?  I'm mean really looked it.  It's amazing.  They've got this whole metamorphosis going on and each one is different.  Poems are written about snowflakes but not popcorn.  Why is that?  This is day 10 of my no chocolate diet.  I'm not trying to loose weight but I thought I should cut back when I realized 95% of my daily calorie intake was probably chocolate.  Of course B&N triple chuck chocolate cookies are exempt and soy chocolate milk - I drink that for a quick fix. 

10 days, no chocolate and I'm pondering the significance of popcorn.  It's withdrawal, I know it is.  10 days.  Oh god I just want one those little heart shape dove things.  10  w h o l e   d a y s.

I drew this pose before but I like, so I did it again.  And copic has florescent colors.  I think they might glow in the dark.

ATCs

These are a few of 20 ATCs that I made this morning to go to an on line trading buddy.  Anyone who hasn't done ATCs doesn't realize how addictive they are.  I can just sit and do these all day.  Only problem is that's all you do.  It took a year for me to graduate to 4"x6" and then 5"x7" and up. 

Why do I?

Why do I draw so much? I usually say it's an obsession, I can't stop.  It's more that I feel I have to make up for lost time.  For all those years when I didn't draw.  And I can't let myself not change, not try something different even if it's just drawing a dog for the first time.  Otherwise, well it would be a waste of the last 2 years.  And there's been enough waste in my life.
