So I took my car in for a 30,000 checkup and surprise, needed new breaks. 830am appt. I walked into the waiting room, sat down next to a woman who was drawing. My eyes lit up, a landsman. That's like saying someone comes from the same town, NY Yiddishy talk. I said I brought stuff to draw too. For a slpit second I saw interesting conversation for the next 2 hours. She was drawing in a sketchbook and had a load of colored markers (yes markers) with her. Instead I got a look that could kill. That pissed off look that Gertie gives me when I toe her. She went back to drawing, not a word. Not one, so I drew my sneaker then got bored and went for a walk.
The dealer is in Delray on NE 6th Ave which is also US1 which is also Federal Highway. Our roads have several names. Delray is being rebuilt, there's construction everywhere, perfectly nice older homes are being torn down to build big nice newer homes (more expensive new homes). But I was in the older part which hasn't felt that yet. The homes still have the Mizner look with gardens and yards and picket fences. So I drew a few.
By the time I got back to the dealer I was dripping wet. It's hot in Florida which is why you don't see people drawing in the street. And I discovered I like drawing houses.
