A while back I made a quilt for a little guy named Jack who I've never met. Well Jack and his mom and dad are coming for a visit. I can't exactly let him go home empty handed so...here's Leo to keep him company.
Leo is named after a little orange cat with a very pink nose who liked belly rubs and scratches behind his ears. I'm sure that he wakes to that every day now. So this little guy is named after my little guy who I still miss very much. And I'm so very sure that Jack will love Leo lots. He's made from a thrifted felted sweater and is very soft and cuddly with a floppy tail and a hand embroidered felt face.
Oh I think Leo will be purring fit to bust at such a fabulous 'statue' to his memory and oh so much better than the sort that get whiter and whiter as the days go by as the birds dance in attendance.
This statue will get whitened by hugs and kisses and squeals of delight no doubt about it.
Lovely

:-) I'm glad you made a little Leo. This one will undoubtedly be loved, too.

Thanks Linda and Daisy. I'm sure he'll be loved, I just hope he doesn't get torn apart. But I'm sure this Leo can take. I used throw my Leo up in the air and he didn't mind at all.
