Holiday Update

I've added some more original drawings in my Etsy shop as well as these 2 cards.  Each is a set of 4 cards.  Both cards are prints of original drawings.

This is a nine branch menorah which is lit during the eight-day holiday of Hanukkah. The ninth branch is for a candle used to light all other candles. After the desecration of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, there was only enough oil left to burn the eternal flame in the Temple for one day but it burned for 8 and that's why it's called the Celebration of Light.

May the Pink Dove of Happiness Nest in your Chimney. I mean that metaphorically of course. It wouldn't be very pleasant for the bird or you now would it?

I print each card on a high resolution printer. Each one comes with a white envelope and each is in a clear plastic envelope for protection. The card is 5"x7" but the image is smaller. There's a white border around the image so it can be framed. The cards are blank inside.

Each set is shipped via Priority Mail. If you'd like to mix match the cards and order 2 Hanukkah cards and 2 Dove cards, just indicate that in the notes section when you go PayPal. All the drawings on my site are available as cards. Please email if you're interested.

Your order can be mailed within 3 days of payment.  Unless of course if something unusual happens and more then just my mother orders a set.  Stranger things have happened. 

Gwen Again

This one didn't come out.  I like the nose and mouth (though too red) but the rest, the eyes are way to black and background is just not.  I really just lost control of the paint.  Can bright colors be muddy?

Great stuff including some really neat marker and pencil postcards .  The ones on black background really jump out at you.  And I love his last journal pix.  Beautiful work.  Say hi to Danny and that janey sent you.

Gwenny

This is Gwen #2,the commission I'm working on.  And it's watercolor crayon. And I'm not found of paint, probably won't ever be.  I like it when other people do it but I just haven't the patience.  But watercolor crayons are different.  They're like crayons except you add water and I don't have to mix colors which I hate doing.

This is on Portofino 140lb cold pressed paper (8"x8") which is very smooth.  And takes the pen very well, like cardstock except thicker.  And I really like how Gwen came out, I think she's my best attempt at watercolor so far.

 

Little Bird

This cutie is for a commission and it's my first attempt at her.  I love the outfit and I'm going to do a few from the same photo.  This one is crayon and marker, 8 1/2" x 10 ish.

The human who belongs to Casper who happens to be the model for the bull terrier drawings has bought all three Caspers.  I just never get over that Wow feeling when someone buys a drawing.  It's beyond great.

And I have a baby commission waiting to be done.  See ya.
