But not yet. I'm waiting for the visiting nurse to come. I have to get 5 shots in the stomach for 5 days as well as take coumadin everyday. Coumadin doesn't take effect for 5 days hense the shots. I'm exceptionally pissed off at my surgeon. My primary dr said I should have been on this since day 1 because of blood clots. He's not happy with the surgeon either.
The nurse should be here around 5pm. A little on the miserable side right now.
I just left a comment and it disappeared. TOTALLY disappeared before I hit the post button. Or else it will show up and I'll look like a moron for commenting twice! :-D
Cheer up -- all will be over soon. Yep, you probably should have been on coumadin after the first week or so, but the upside is that with the brace and then the cast your lower leg has been compressed, which helps decrease your risk. The shots aren't so bad -- Doug had to have them after he had a blood clot and I was able to give them to him. Cheer up!

I just can't fathom why the richest nation on the earth cannot be civilised enough to provide a free national health service. I really feel for you at this time. Get well soon.
