Here's another figure. Drawn with a sharpie. I love the way the ink bleeds into the paper but not so much how it shows on the other side. It makes it harder to draw on both sides.

A Wave to Wales

I didn't realize I hadn't posted in over a week until I received a friendly wave from Wales.  And then I remembered I forgot to link to my blogger buddy animated startdust.  She has such beautiful photos of Wales which is one of those exotic far away place I'll never go.  Thankfully, my postcards do.

Feeling a little worn out lately hence no blogging.  I'll be back soon.

Dreamers often lie

I have some arthritis in my thumbs which is why I stopped knitting when I tried to start again.  It's usually just a little soreness every now and then.  Suddenly a few days ago I could barely move my right thumb it hurt so much.  It's back to just an ache now.  After the surprise of the pain wore off, I thought what if it was my left hand?  What if it didn't go away?  Would I still draw?  Could I?  It would certainly be a different kind of line.  And after I finished that sentence I realized I just answered my own question.

The Inner Puppy and Jungian Therapy

Maybe not all puppies have pink noses.  But I like drawing the inner being and the inner puppy has a pink nose.

And I just can't decide how to sign my name.  I'm so used to Janey and they box signature that signing my first name is a little weird.  It feels like I'm signing someone else's name.  Maybe I'll just take turns.  Monday I'll be Carol, Tuesday Janey, Wednesday Jane and then back to Carol again.  A little Three Faces of Eve sort of thing only without the drama or maybe I should just go to therapy.  I always wondered why I don't draw whiskers or why I'm so journal challenged.

My friend MV's significant other is a Jungian Therapist.  I think he might be the only one in town. When MV first showed him my drawings here I made her promise to tell him not to analyze any of them.  She said he sat there in front of the computer nodding and going hmmmm, yes, interesting. Now that's scary.  My drawings are interesting to a Jungian therapist.  Not these of course, they're just cute puppies.

Fleur de Lis

Last week my mom was 87.  Yep, 87.  So we went out to diner at Renzo's, the best Pizza Restaurant in in the tri counties.  The thinnest crust, the freshest ingredients.  So anyway, my friend DBD was there and we also like another restaurant in Del Ray, Grangers.  And Grangers is in a converted 1960's fast food drive by restaurant.  Tiny place.  Bathroom entrance is on the outside of the building.  Tiny bathroom.  You have sit down sideways.  Really.

So we were at Renzo's ready to leave and DBD said I'll just put the take out in the car and go to the bathroom, meet you outside.  So I thought she's going all the way to car and coming back inside to use the bathroom?  ok.  Next thing I look up and there's DBD standing on the outside waving at us, where's the bathroom?  She thought we were at Grangers.  The people at the next table were laughing, we were waving at here and pointing to the bathroom.  Inside the restaurant.  When we finally left, DBD was almost doubled up laughing.  Of course she said she's only going to that place again in disguise.

So what has this got to do with the drawing, nothing much.  Just felt I should write something to go along with the drawing.  It's 8 1/2 x 11 and I used markers and pencils and wc crayons and sharpies on new cream colored card stock.
