A Thirfting we will go

And we did.  To my absolute favorite  - Netties Thrift and Consignment West Palm Beach.  Nettie and her can of spray paint are just so inspirational.  If you love the bright and cheerful, you'll love Nettie's.  And her prices are just as wonderful.  

How to get there?  Nettie is on Federal Highway (US1) in West Palm Beach, across the street from a really nice Goodwill, a few miles north of World Thrift.  The whole area is full of thrift and consignment stores.  I usually take I95, get off at the Lake Worth exit, go east to US1 and turn left.  You'll pass consignment stores on both sides of the street.  If you're in a hurry, get off at 10 Ave N instead.  And when you're done thrifting, just keep going north and have lunch at Howies, a restored 1950 restaurant.

Oh Deer - that zine thing

Do you like little deer? Is your collection glass or ceramic or plastic? That's what my collection is. I like to use what I collect so I drew my little deer. 

This zine is 5 1/2" x 4" and there are 12 drawings - 14 if you count the front and back covers. They're printed on the same paper I use for drawings so it's bright white which makes the lines very clear. The cover is hand colored by me and the inside drawings are black and white. 

Only one of the drawings has been posted here so the other drawings are all new.  The zine is available in my Etsy shop.

Stepping Out Quilt

Well my headaches are gone only to be replaced by a very not nice cold.  Thurs-Sat no voice.  Sat - today a voice but I can't breath.  The stuffiness is going thanks to some very nice drugs.  Drugs are out friend, yes they are.  Back to work tomorrow. Because of the drugs and the not breathing I haven't had any energy to do anything.  

Meanwhile, here's a quilt I think I forgot to post which I drew in January.  I think I'm enjoying drawings these quilts more than actually making them.  Filed under my someday to be published "Janeys Illustrated Guide to Quilts".

I signed this and then thought it looked better upside down.

It's what they want me to think.  I can hear them plotting right now.

Tuesday Draws

Cluster headaches for the last few days = no desire to draw.  The fog finally lifted and these are a few draws from tonight.

It actually takes longer to scan, format and post these drawings than it does to draw them.  The downside of drawing quickly.  I guess I can live with it.
