New Zine - Mugshots

Drawn from a vintage mugshot.  They're much more interesting then modern ones.  I mean how many Lindsay Lohan mugshots can you look at?

Portrait Zine to be

I worked on a portrait zine all day.  So finished all 8 drawings, colored but not scanned yet.  And Violet chased Gracie across the table and the ice tea tipped, splashed and the portraits were soaked.  Just this one survived.  Today's mantra.  I will not kill the cat, I will not kill the cat, I will not. Well maybe.

ZaZue Louise

And she's a softie. Wool felt, hand stitched.  Made the little shorts, wove the scarf and knitted the socks.  No thread was used in the making of this softie :D

Just a few more quilts

Half a League - And half a cabin.  Log cabins are my favorite block.  A half log cabin block is just that.  You cut the blocks in half and then mix and match them.  they always look just right.

Here's the full sheet before the folds.  All of them lined up sort of look like stamps.  Stamps by Janey available at your local post office.  

 

An Illustrated Guide to Quilts - Full Color Mini Zine

Another very little mini zine - 4"x3". One piece of letter size paper folded and folded and one cut and it's a mini book of 6 drawings plus the front and back covers. No staples, just one piece of paper and some folds.

The drawings are of imaginary quilts. I love fabric and I love love to quilt. But it takes so much time and costs so much. These quilts are much more economical. The original full size drawings are also available here on Etsy. The zine is printed on the same paper I use for drawings so it's bright white which makes the lines very clear. All the drawings are in full color, printed with archival ink.
